I am truly at a loss as to how Cassidy thinks more people will be covered under his version of ACA repeal. His own state loses money for medicaid. What is he thinking? He is supposed to have been consistently involved with getting medical care to people who couldn't afford it in Baton Rouge, as well as other types of charity care. How does he think going backwards is better than taking what we have and improving it?

There's been a theory for 10-20 years that if there were just more physicians involved in legislation, healthcare would be better for everybody. So a lot of people really pushed to support physicians who wanted to run for political office. My conclusion at this point is that is mostly a gross failure and with possible individual exceptions, we should never send physicians to Congress.

Short list of examples why not:
Tom Price
Bill Cassidy
Rand Paul
and that classy wanna-be from Arizona, Kelli Ward

  1. As to why Sen. Cassidy is pushing ACA repeal so hard: Google his name and "Koch brothers". Makes for interesting reading.

  2. Not in Congress, but Ben Carson is another example of your point.
