  1. WTH, that sounds awful! I hate untrained animals barking as much as the next person, but there are better solutions!

  2. The debarking is disgusting.

In no way can 3.4 acres be big enough for 6+ large dogs, goats, chickens, & sheep. Makes me concerned for the welfare of the rest.

  3. Like, who even suggested debarking? I didn't even know that was a thing. It's abuse and shouldn't be allowed.

  4. Am I reading correctly that this has been going on for fifteen years?! If my neighbors' dogs were barking starting at 5am for fifteen years I'd be at my wit's end too. It's interesting that the city hasn't figured out better ways to enforce the noise ordinance.

  5. The more I think about this, the more I think it is the "farm" issue they should be dealing with.

  6. If the property isn't zoned as a farm, and they've been calling it one for over 10 years, something isn't right. Like, I start wondering about zoning enforcement in their town or county. Not to mention whether or not these people ought to have animals. Like, there are animal hoarders who claim they have a "farm". We had that happen around here; it was awful.

  7. Even aside from how horrible debarking is, it doesn't even fucking work. Dogs learn to make noise afterward anyway.
