I am packed (finally), I have cleaned and organized the refrigerator and freezer (it will be a mess when I get back, I'm sure), and I have cleaned my room and made it nice so my sister can stay in it on her way to returning my niece to college via London (it's a unique route to Massachusetts).

I have left keys to everything (well, I have one house key with me), I have left notes about everything (I cannot believe this is my life, now, but it is), and my niece's and sister's presents are wrapped and will be on my bed for them to collect while I am gone.

I am going to take a shower and go to bed. At least, that is the intention.

I have survived today on coffee, so I hope I get some sleep.
