I heard Act One of this while driving in the car and, just, augh. I am totally torn among horror, frustration, fascination, compassion, and some other emotions. It certainly reinforces for me that I am not an average person, because eru, the level of credulousness. I mean, I'm naive from a damagingly sheltered upbringing, but come on.

It's like if Cher had slapped Nicholas Cage in "Moonstruck" and it didn't matter because he not only didn't know what he was supposed to snap out of, the whole concept of a thing out of which you snap didn't exist. Yet somehow, this person's frontal lobe was trying desperately to tell him that his amygdala was completely out of control and he should not listen to it. He's still struggling with it. He's managed some insights that are messing him up because he cannot get the amygdala to shut up. So he's still vulnerable to the crazies, and omg, this is someone who is genuinely trying.

I didn't listen to Act Two.
