Actual headline: Montana GOP Congressional Candidate Cited With Misdemeanor Assault of Reporter

It is probably legitimately how the law categorizes what level of charge to bring, what type of injury is documented. However, if he put his hands around someone's throat and threw them to the ground, his intent was clearly not minor. He could easily have pushed just a little too hard in just the wrong place or the reporter could have fallen just the wrong way. You don't charge people with what they could have done, but his intentions and behavior were not minor.

Too bad newspapers pulling their endorsements probably doesn't have the impact it might once have had.
