Kathrine Switzer was the first woman to run with a number at the Boston Marathon. In 1967. She ran again today.

Again, stories of strong women, or at least a woman who did a thing that made a difference. Tell us the real stories, including the guy who tried to physically remove her from the race and the guy who took him out so she could go on, unmolested. Not to mention the stupid reasons they kept women out in the first place.

We need real role models, not just cleaned up perfect ones.
