Aaand I was right. The tone deaf foolishness that set my mom off this weekend in the context of other stuff that I privately mentioned to a few of you was from my SIL.
And now, my mom is all, oh, I know she meant well. And I'm all, oh, hell, no.
This is all about my SIL and her bizarre little tone-deaf world where she sends people unsolicited self-help books, and clothing in the wrong sizes and colors, spiritual or inspiring jewelry, and unsolicited political stuff.
Of course, one might tell her if you must do this random gift thing, just send Amazon gift cards, ok? But see, then she could not make a point with whatever it is she is sending as a "gift".
