So, we just found out that my cousin has metastatic ovarian cancer. They found it because they thought she was having digestive issues. This is unfortunately not uncommon. The saddest thing here is that she is one of the few people in my mom's family who is really decent and a genuine life-long friend to my mom. It's actually a huge part of my mother's support network and it's about to be gone.

I think my dad is kind of having flashbacks and a little too much empathy, as well. Not on purpose, just because obs. And of course we all wish there was something we could do to help. Which we've offered.

My cousin has already had a pretty extensive surgery and she's decided to go through whatever chemo or radiation or whatever they can offer her but even without details, the prognosis is obviously not good.

So that's special.
