I am not entirely sure, but I think Angela Merkel was having trouble not openly smirking during the joint press conference with Drumpf when they kept asking him about the wire-tapping, the GCHQ nonsense, and his answers about Fox and their commentator Napolitano (he named Fox, not Napolitano - the "talented lawyer").

I swear the left side of her mouth quirked up at some of this. I'm not sure if it was impressed at this incredible gift of nonsense dancing, or trying not to laugh openly at the ludicrousness of it all.

Edit: I forgot. He thought he was witty by suggesting that his (imaginary) wiretapping gave him something in common with Angela Merkel's (apparently real) NSA surveillance.
