"Any international organization receiving U.S. funds for health programs will now be required to certify that it does not provide abortion services, counseling, referrals or information or advocate for the liberalization of abortion laws, even with non-U.S. funds. Offs. What the hell is wrong with these people? What, they think there are assembly line style factories rounding up pregnant women and somehow profiting off terminating their pregnancies? Was there an episode of Outer Limits or The Twilight Zone that I missed where all of a sudden all the pregnant women in some unidentified small heartland town woke up unpregnant, and then in a surprise twist ending it turns out it wasn't aliens taking their babies to breed a slave colony of lab rats after all, it was the "abortion industry"??
Do they even know what any of these agencies do? Brilliant. You may not provide pre-natal care of any kind with our money if anyone ever associated with your organization has discussed the fact that there are risks to pregnancy and that includes * gasp * spontaneous abortion.

Nope, can't help with nutrition and schooling and infectious diseases and safe water and definitely can't talk about preventing transmission of HIV if you even think about abortion. Perfectly fine if women die from illegal abortions, don't go advocating for that kind of change. Nasty whores need to be punished in this world and the next. ReplyDeleteI am convinced that what he cares about is not so much abortion as the opportunity to... I don't even think it's "control," per se, so much as simply to punish.
ReplyDeleteOf course, in order to punish someone you have to make up a bunch of rules to break, so it looks almost the same.
It's what I said before. He's a bully. Bullies like to prove they have power over other people. What the actual point of that power is, is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is, those other people know that you can hurt them and are scared of you because of it. That's it.
