Is it really that much longer to go through the States? Or is it a six of one situation?
ReplyDeleteMy experience is yes. Google claims it's about 45 min longer, collective practical experience has found it to be 1 to 1.5 hours longer. Some of that depends on when you are traveling and specific route details, but it's definitely longer through the states. Aside from anything else, you're going around the long side of the lake.
ReplyDeleteTraffic gets heavy during rush hour around Hamilton and St. Catharines and can even get stop and go, but it's a whole lot less evil than if you had to go north through Burlington or closer to Toronto. That's just become couch in a stairwell bad.
