It's funny how different the reporting on this is. Some pieces you get the idea that it's pretty clear the sisters were looking for publicity, in others that it's a by-product of a random positive moment. I'm definitely getting the impression that German culture doesn't think you should look like you're having fun if you're supposed to be working.

  1. I'm reminded of the twins Anders and Örjan Blomquist, who shared the victory in Vasaloppet in 1988 while carrying the kranskulla over the finishing line together. (The powers that be tried to force that one to a photo finish decision, but had to bow to popular demand.)
