O.m.g. I can't even.
O.m.g. I can't even.
You know those people who have to stick themselves into the middle of everything because someone might leave them out or not include them or not tell them something?
Because they have to try to control everything in obnoxious little ways that make everything about them and what they need, but they are adamant that they are helping other people and only ever thinking of other people?
If I ever start doing that, please sit me down quietly and talk with me.
Things have happened with my dad. It's a developing situation. But since it's his situation he should get to decide who to tell, what to tell them, and how to tell them. Including to me or my siblings. Oh, no. Someone who must not be named has to tell us all what and when and where she decides. Because, after all, she's only concerned about my dad and about us. Oh, and she'll tell us what's really going on. ):<~
Oo, oo, and then there's the one where she tells him to schedule appointments so they are convenient for her, and gets mad if he doesn't. The best part about this is, wait for it, when she tells me to tell her if I'm available so I can go with my dad so I can tell her what goes on and what gets said. Mm, hm. Yeah, that's right. I am supposed to go with my dad to his appointments, whether he wants me there or not, and report back to her on my dad and his appointments.
I am obviously not going to do that.
P.S. My favoritest part is when she argues with me about medical terminology and concepts. The best of the recent ones is when she was talking about a friend of hers and told me I was wrong, that the parathyroid glands aren't in the neck. Guess where they are. They're in the wrists. I really have to stop correcting her when she knows the facts that she was told. Mm hm.

ReplyDeleteMy jaw actually fell open on the parathyroid thing. Just WOW.
ReplyDeleteThing is, that may be exactly what her friend told her. I don't know, I wasn't there. The problem is it's a reflexive thing for me to say, wait a minute, that's not where those glands are. Not because I'm trying to embarrass her, or call her out, or say she or her friend are stupid. And her response isn't, well, that's what I remember her saying. It's that almost a verbatim quote about not correcting her. See, there might just be a leeetle bit of some deeper issues there. Couldn't say for sure. Wouldn't be prudent, not at this juncture.
