It's nice to know there's something the Republicans and Conservatives consider a bottom line they'll agree on with the Liberals and Democrats. Of course, it took the KKK to accomplish that. Talk about a lowest common denominator.
Er... if that were actually broadly true, Trump would be being run off the GOP primaries on a rail, not winning more delegates than every other GOP candidate combined. Oh sure, there are Republican/"conservative" voices unhappy with Trump. But there are also strong signs of many ostensible Democratic/"liberal" voters being swayed to Trump [1], let alone enough GOP support to make Trump not just the front-runner, but far and away the most likely current nominee.
ReplyDeleteThe bottom line is that it is plainly obvious that Trump's KKK episode has been far from a dealbreaker. That there are lots of Republicans / Conservatives - and for that matter, Democratic voters - who are really just fine with that. Right now, enough for Trump to be very much on track to win the GOP nomination.

Oh, I just mean the official talking heads. As has been pointed out elsewhere, the fact is that the Dixiecrats lost their Jim Crow primacy and those members of the populace shifted to the Republican party a few decades ago. Also, the official Republican in front and the secret Republican in back folks are, finally, trying to ditch Trump, but apparently they are not so good at it.
