I hate writing thank you notes.

I hate writing thank you notes. I actually used to be good at this, but my brain hates me now feels it must stand up for its principles, even if that means shutting me down. As Speaker-for-Life I feel I should get more respect, but this does not appear to be operative under current conditions.
