Listening to radio in car - I didn't even think about this. Lifting the sanctions on Iran means we could get saffron, caviar, pistachios and carpets! I mean, the carpets will probably be ridiculously marked up, so whatever, but next to Kashmiri saffron, the stuff from Iran is great. The nuts would have a totally different flavor (as would nuts from Greece or Turkey) from the California ones. Caviar, though, might mean beluga. Although that's probably still an environmental concern (don't wipe out the sturgeon!), I've had it. Holy cow. That is, like, just, soooo rich and creamy and not at all like the stuff you usually get on a buffet. Ok, so I could only probably afford the saffron, and then only because you don't buy much at a time. But that's still really great!
