Holy moly, Batman!

Holy moly, Batman! If you look long enough, you might find anything. There are two (two!) bakeries that make king cake (traditional and modern) here. One is a relatively new place (from 2004) that got started making cakes and cupcakes and is fairly established, now.

The other is possibly the last remaining old Polish bakery in the city. I mean, the bakery dates back to 1895, and the eponymous Mazureks bought it in 1933 (they sold it in 2012, but the name stayed).  I don't know when they started making king cakes, but their other stuff is really good - and they sell paczki (black raspberry filling with rum glaze) all year on Fridays and Saturdays.

Now the only problem is that I am the only one here who would eat the king cake. And I do not need to eat an entire king cake. I mean, it's really just a big giant cinnamon roll .... no, nope, can't eat an entire king cake by myself. Bad, very bad
