This seems to be making the rounds. It isn't news, but, ok. I mean, the stories are a male bear who is a light to medium tan color, and presumptively British for several reasons. However, yes, the bear from whom he got his name was a Canadian female black bear. P.S. I have yet to see an article making a point out of the fact that the bear was black, but if they are going to try for clickbait headlines with FEMALE and some Canadian, they might as well mention that she was a black bear.
