So, I have this crazy new plan for dealing with stress and its effects on my life. Get up and exercise every morning. This doesn't mean I won't exercise any other time of day, but at the very least, I want to start the day out doing something that counts as exercise. I fully expect there may be moments of not succeeding, but you gotta have a goal, right? Right? Tell me I'm not crazy.
If it works for you, go for it! (If I did that I'd have to go back to bed for three or four hours afterward.)
ReplyDeleteYou're not crazy - it works for me for example. But as Amy says it doesn't work for everyone so don't get discouraged if it doesn't. Meditate first thing instead and exercise later. Adjust!
ReplyDeleteMorning exercise works for me too.
ReplyDeleteI've been doing morning exercise (the 7-minute workout) for...erm...over a year now. (There were occasional days I exercised in the evening; it's a goal, not a blood oath.)
ReplyDeleteOn the one hand, I can't swear that it itself had a factor in changing my stress levels; that could have been any of the hundred changes I've been through since I started. (Moving back to the US, for one.)
On the other hand, I can't say it has hurt. And I definitely feel accomplished for having done it.
I never found exercise particularly helpful, but it also can't hurt, I figure.
ReplyDeleteThank you, all. I need help. The Blerch is strong with this one.
ReplyDeleteAaand then I managed to bebother my back today. It's like it knew.
ReplyDeleteF-L Silver ...they ALWAYS know.
