Hey, we get to vote!
Hey, we get to vote! Who knew? Jessica Musinski was very right, this totally should get more attention than it does. Shame on you, media, for not touting this more widely.
P.S. My favorite thing in the Time graphic is where it notes that women are still not allowed to vote in Vatican City. Does that mean they allow women to hold positions at all in Vatican City? Because that would surprise me.

P.P.S. Dear Time, you can show the women wearing pants. It's ok. Also, ok to show without Barbie/model leg pose.
ReplyDeleteThey talk a bit about what it took to pass the amendment, then they have pictures that show how many more women than men go vote, but there's a significantly disproportionate number of men in government and public office. They also mention worldwide political representation, which is where the Vatican factoid shows up.
ReplyDeleteOk, there's a wikipedia entry.
