I learned today that a Mr. David Lanz has a piece called Cristofori's Dream, but I have to admit I was underwhelmed by it. Instead, have what I feel is Chopin's love letter to the piano:
(It's dedicated to Madame someone or another, but it's glorying in nearly everything you can do with the instrument, when you're not outright caressing it. Watch Kissin's hands during the "chorus" of the first theme.)
Inspired by a different thread - Farfelkugel, the multilayered horse name joke in "Robin Hood, Men in Tights". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLtk_VfbKzU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLtk_VfbKzU
