So last weekend, when we were having our putative last snowfalls, I decided to play more with that macro lens and see if I could photograph snowflakes. Challenging. It's a tiny lens, thus the field is even more restricted than otherwise (optics, it's a thing), and the focal length is basically just shy of contact. Since that means something warmish needs to get awfully close, it does not lend itself readily to this application. Additionally, learned why it is helpful to have your snowflakes on a slide and backlit, if you want to see them. Nevertheless, persevered and got some recognizable images.
