Ok that's it. I am now 100% pro national health care, whatever the heck you want to call it. Because you could not possibly do things any worse, and the imprint of money incentive, that is, how not to spend it, is screamingly all over these screw ups.
At least with a single governmental over-arching structure, you have one group of idiots to deal with. A group of idiots who may not believe it, but we pay their salaries and we have actual rights to get on their case for not doing things. Yeah, the system doesn't work, especially at the moment, but it's a hell of a lot better than the profit driven crap that totally doesn't give a snap about people.
Not that the word people means much anymore, but the word patient means about as much as "relative value unit" or "full time equivalent". Iow, not a person. I'm not sure how long it will be before we are all expendable unpersons, but at the moment this person is extremely pissed off.
