Styrofoam snow: probably falls under the heading of what's officially called grauppel, but it's the stuff that looks like pieces of expanded polystyrene foam, or well, the beads of expanded polystyrene it's made from.
Postcard snow: The glittery, sparkly, flat appearing snow crystals that look like the iridescent colorless glitter used as snow on Christmas cards.
Fluffy snow: Your basic large cluster flurries, falling in moderate to dense amounts. Moderate moisture, neither the super dry, nor the super wet snow. Easiest for catching on tongue, a la Charlie Brown Christmas special.
Dandruff snow: Small flurries, falling in light to moderate amounts, not particularly dense.
