Late to discover this. It has a very personal resonance that doesn't need to be detailed. I can't agree more that dress codes are not about dress codes when they specifically control primarily or exclusively what young women are wearing. Further, even in a school with a strict uniform, the aggression and sexual bullying is real and it happens and the fact that adults are still being idiots about it is appalling. Some of the comments are unreal, of course. As far as professionalism as some sort of rationalization, fine, professional behavior does not include verbal or other sexual aggression. That's harassment and it's illegal. So much angry.
