Ok, this really shouldn't be funny, but it seems they are having fireworks tonight around here and I'm being smothered by a dog and a cat who are not thrilled with the big bada boom. The other cat keeps laying his ears back, but he is what I would describe as laconic. Poor critters. Their instincts are good. They don't know we do this for fun.
