Rocket performance is measured in "Specific Impulse" (Isp), in units of "seconds".
Most chemical rockets (such as the Space Shuttle) max out at about 450 seconds.
However, there is one that has an Isp of 540 seconds. But it is insanely dangerous.
Just mix liquid hydrogren at zero degrees K with molten lithium at 450 degrees K and throw in some raw fluorine. Hilarity will ensue. The temperature difference between the first two ingredients will thermal shock the heck out of the combustion chamber, and fluorine is always a bad idea.
