You know how you know things are "difficult/challenging/euphemism"? Your unwell father finds you at an unspecified Starbucks because he wanted to get out of the house. I figure you can read between the lines without my leaving you extra space for that.

ReplyDeleteIt is indeed important to get out of the house. It's important for HIM to get out of the house, too, but it's not cool for him to have followed you to your brief refuge. Next time say you're going to Starbucks but go somewhere else. He'll just think he picked the wrong Starbucks to find you at.
ReplyDeleteI'm not even 100% sure what your situation is (1)(2) but even in good times and even for the most extraverted of people there is a need to just get the hell away from people once in a while.

Amy Young He's never done this before. And, to be fair, he used insightful powers of reasoning to make a good guess as to where I'd be. The fact that he was right on a single try just adds to his legend. Something was bothering him a lot for him to do this. Now, if this became a regular thing, I'd have to agree with you. I hope that doesn't happen.
