Definitely wrong!
ReplyDeleteThat (monotonous temperature decrease after sunrise) happened way too many times this winter. Something's definitely doing it wrong.
ReplyDeleteIt's hot a balls here. I had to go to 7-11 for a midnight slurpee just to keep cool. (no air conditioning in this house)
ReplyDeleteYou have 7-11 in Oz? How the hell did that happen? McDonald's I get, they're everywhere, but 7-11...that's just weird.
ReplyDeleteJamie Bowden I think we actually have a very high 7-11 count per capita. In the CBD particularly. Arj Barker did a whole bit when he toured here about how if you regret not grabbing a snack from the 7-11 you just walked past, it's usually faster to just keep walking to the next one rather than turn around.
ReplyDelete(Also, 7-11s have probably become even more popular in recent years. All the supermarkets everywhere stopped doing 24-hour trading. So if you're really desperate for a snack after midnight, 7-11 is the only place open.)
7-11 is the largest chain of konbini (convenience store) in Japan, too.
ReplyDeleteHm. All the restaurants are taco bell, all the 24 hour stores are 7-11?
ReplyDeleteNo taco bells in Australia. Just McDonald's, KFC and Burger King (which was inexplicably renamed to Hungry Jack's).
ReplyDeleteAlso, we haven't started freezing our criminals yet. But we do use the three shells.
Burger King (which was inexplicably renamed to Hungry Jack's)
ReplyDeleteProbably to avoid pissing off the monarchists.
Will Frank You'd be hard pressed to find that many monarchists these days. Most of the surviving ones are probably quite old (my Grandma is probably one).
ReplyDeleteBut there were probably a few more of them about in the 80s, when Hungry Jack's opened here.
