Quite honestly, I have stayed away from the current locale for holidays for many years, now, because there was so much ... stuff, but because it is sort of a last supper (unless something miraculous happens), I had hoped it would at least be drama minimus. Plus, frankly, I wanted it to be a last, nice memory, like [cue: heartwarming theme] it was in the olden days. Ha ha.
