Food processor. I have not the will to pestle 3 packed cups of basil leaves, 1.5 oz. hard parmesan, 1.5 oz. hard romano. 1/2 cup toasted pine nuts, 3 good size garlic cloves, and some olive oil (maybe 1/4+ cup?). Granted, I don't use salt, which helps with the pestleing, and I did not grate the cheeses first.
I did do the cheese and garlic together first, though, so it retains texture and the basil isn't turned to mush.
Inspired by a different thread - Farfelkugel, the multilayered horse name joke in "Robin Hood, Men in Tights". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLtk_VfbKzU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLtk_VfbKzU
I give up on getting g+ to show photos in the order they are in the album.
ReplyDeleteLooks nomtastic! Did you just chop everything by hand, or was there a food processor involved?
