Hard to say, really. I think for a lot of people that is true and it is sad, but I don't think it is true for me, so I don't think it is universally true of life.
ReplyDeleteMy own personal experience is that I see people staying in that mindset and operating their lives with the same behavior and the same sensibilities, but I don't really have any interest in any of it, so I kind of wade through the muck of it without letting any of it really soak in.
Sometimes it's harder than others, but my life is about my family and my personal health and well being - as much for their sake as my own - and I don't care what anyone else thinks about that. I think it's why I hate reality shows so much. It's all basically that same stuff and it all seems like a huge waste of time. So I try to do the same thing to the people in my life with that mentality as I do with the TV. I change the channel and move on. It's not always as easy, but it works for me.
