p-ANCA = PAN

p-ANCA = PAN
c-ANCA = Wegener's granulomatosis

I can't think of a way to remember that, either.

  1. I'm fine with the p-type, but the c-type?  "c-ANCA" sounds like "kanka," which is a slang term in Turkish, short for "kan kardeÅŸi" or "blood brother," and you can remember Wegener is your brother but with granulomatosis you're on your own unless it's a blood-related problem?

    (I may be reeeeeeachhhhiiiiiiiing.)

  2. They are both inflammatory blood vessel disorders, although not blood per se.
