I wish I could record and share the horrible sounds one of the baristas* has been suddenly and inexplicably making. Disturbingly loud discordant sounds at random intervals.
Perhaps she is studying the various calls of the endangered unaccountably loudly whooping crane. Perhaps she has been studying the real spectrum of manifestations of Tourette's. Perhaps she is studying a character role in a period comedy, a role whose defining trait is their extremely loud whooping laugh (if that's the term). She could put the siren in fire engine, she could be her own Whoop! button app. She's making the needle bounce into the red on the voice memo app (I felt compelled to check).
